Attractions: The Park at West End - Fort Smith’s Newest Family-friendly Park

From the moment you walk through the beautiful stone entry, rescued from an 1880’s Jewish temple demolished here 40 years ago you begin to feel the Fort Smith history. Iron posts and a 115 year old hammered back gate salvaged from the 200 Garrison Building, destroyed in the 1996 tornado, adorn the back of the park. Take a ride on a Ferris Wheel from the 1935 World’s Fair and a hand-painted pony on the Italian-made Bertazzon carousel.

Snack on snow cones and hotdogs at the 1960’s style Leland double-decker bus or dine at the Nickel & Dime Diner housed in a 1950’s refurbished Pullman rail car. Enjoy delicious cuisine with an Italian flair.

Listen to our antique calliope while you try your luck in the vintage arcade, featuring antique pinball machines.
