Description

The final Chaffee Crossing Farmers & Artisans Market of the 2022 season will be held on October 8th from 8 AM to 2 PM. More than 150 vendors from western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma are expected:

SPECIAL FEATURES

STEVE SMITH | Resident fireplace mantle carver at the Valley Woodcarvers Shop in Silver Dollar City
for the past 10 years will be demonstrating his craft. Steve’s work ranges from small Christmas
ornaments, signs, and 8” x 10” picture frames to fireplace mantles measuring 10 feet in length. Steve
lives in Bella Vista, AR.

ASHTYN BARBAREE (8 AM - 10 AM) | Performing live music from the Ellis Street Stage.

CARNIVAL GAMES & MORE (8 AM - 2 PM) | Fort Smith Non-Profits will be hosting old-fashioned carnival and lawn games, face painting, horses, tennis, board games, and more in Parking Lot #3. This is a family friendly addition to the market to promote the services of
non-profit organizations in the community. 

DOG-STUME CONTEST (10 AM) | Sponsored by Doods & Dames Dog Bakery and Mars Petcare. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dog Talent, Most Unique Costume, Fall Festival Costume (fall or Halloween theme), and one Overall Winner. Mars will be giving away free samples of their dog food products. Greenwood Mayor Doug Kinslow will emcee the contest. Register on Eventbrite. Entry fee is one can of dog food per category entry. Food donations will be presented to Fort Smith Animal Haven.

COSTUME PARADE (10:30 AM) | Star Wars Characters from the 501st Legion will make a grand entrance to the, "Imperial March," immediately following Dog-Stume Contest, leading the Costume Parade through Vendor Village. 

SACRED SOMATICS CIRCUS PERFORMERS (10:30 AM - 11:30 AM) | Stilt walkers, juggling, hula hooping...performers will be located throughout the Farmers & Artisans Market. 

OKLAHOMA MOON TRIO (11 AM - 2 PM) | Performing live music from the Ellis Street Stage.

OZARK STRANGERS BLUEGRASS BAND (11 AM & 1 PM) | 4th place winners at the 2022 National Youth Bluegrass Competition in Silver Dollar City will perform at 11 AM - 12 PM and 1 PM - 2 PM at Parking Lot #3 Carnival Area.

FOOD TRUCKS (ALL DAY) | Truckin’ Delicious, Brew House BBQ & Catering, Black Bison Coffee Co., Poor Man’s Pizza, Dang Diggity Dogs, El Mero Cevichon, Southern Sippin’ Lemonade, Class Six Entertainment will be serving beer from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Get Snappin’ Photo Booth will have backdrops for fall selfies!

Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care will provide free Covid-19 vaccination and booster shots!

Pottery Making Demo hosted by Cre8ive Arts Network members.

Fort Smith Glass Pickup will be accepting glass for recycling.
