Located in Fort Smith's downtown area, Creekmore Park is located directly across from the main branch of the Fort Smith Public Library and offers a variety of unique seasonal activities that include the Creekmore Express Train and Creekmore Holiday Express, an 18-hole miniature golf course, a fitness trail, tennis center and courts, playground equipment, a community center, and the region's largest outdoor Olympic-sized swim & dive facility.
During the Summer, a variety of indoor and outdoor activities and programs are held at the park, including (but not limited to): Movies in the Park, Baking Bootcamps, Pop-Up Play Days, and more. The park and community center can be rented for birthday parties, reunions, meetings, and other types of events.
In Winter, the park serves as the western terminus of Arkansas statewide Trail of Lights and is a festive sight you don't want to miss!
The Creekmore Community Center, located adjacent to Creekmore Park, is one of the Parks & Recreation’s most popular rental facility. Plan a party or book a reception in one of our great community rooms!
Creekmore Express Train
There is no cost to ride the train. Donations are welcome!
The train is a favorite of park-goers of all ages! We have a total of three miniature trains that our housed at Creekmore Park. Our #200 Electric Steam Engine was manufactured by Western Train Company out of Temecula, California. We also have a standard diesel train, the Creekmore Express Our steam engine is currently waiting for funds to be raised for its restoration. The Creekmore Holiday Express is a colorful journey through the hundreds of animated lights adorning Creekmore Park during the holidays.
