Description

A country singer whose music is influenced by classic outlaw sounds as well as contemporary rock-influenced material, Frank Foster is a fiercely independent artist. Foster releases his own records, manages his own business affairs, and books his own tours. Bringing his music directly to his fans, Foster's unique approach has made him a rising star in country music. Born on January 22, 1982, Foster hails from Cypress Bottom, Louisiana, where his father frequently played the music of Hank Williams. Foster's uncle was also a music fan, turning him on to Waylon Jennings and Southern rock.

Foster began writing songs while he was a junior in college and soon began playing at local bars. After a spell working on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, he decided to give music a try. After establishing a strong regional following in Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama, Foster self-released his first album in 2011. Rowdy Reputation sold respectably, and Foster kept up an active touring schedule.

Eager to keep his fans satisfied with new music, Foster dropped Red Wings and Six Strings in 2012 and Southern Soul in 2013. Released in 2014, Rhythm and Whiskey demonstrated that Foster's hard work was paying off when it entered the Billboard Country Albums chart at number 21. A pair of albums followed in 2016 (Boots on the Ground and Good Country Music), both of which placed high on the Billboard Country Albums chart. Foster returned in 2018 with his seventh album, 'Til I'm Gone. Upon its September release, the record debuted at 16 on Billboard's Country Albums chart.
