About the Cotton Club: The Cotton Club was a legendary nightspot in the Harlem district of New York City that for years featured prominent Black entertainers who performed for white audiences. The club served as a springboard to fame for Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, and many others. In June 1935, the club opened its doors to everyone. Join us in celebrating the desegregation of this iconic piece of history.

Proceeds from the gala will benefit The Fort Kids Children's Museum. The Fort Kids Children's Museum focuses on exhibits that include art and art exploration, science and technology, wellness and mindfulness practice, physical play and motor skills, and nature and environmental learning.
