Do you enjoy sketching? Want to become engaged in an artist community? RAM Sketch might be just for you!

Our online sketchbook group meets nearly every Tuesday to learn about new artists and techniques, chat and most of all... just sketch!

September's theme is the 'Alternative Sketching' where we will drawing the world around us. Join us from the comfort of your own home to start putting drawing into your routine.

September 6th, 2022 - Cutting and Sketching

Participants will select an image they’d like to sketch and will then cut out part of the image to then substitute in a patterned paper or piece of fabric behind. Sketch artists will be able to choose their own medium. Featured Artist: Shamekh Bluwi

September 13th, 2022 - Tech Sketching

Participants will select a type of technology and sketch what’s really going on inside. Artists will use a medium of their choice. Featured Artist: Ben Douglass

September 20th, 2022 - Repurposed Sketching

Participants will use an alternative repurposed piece of paper such as a book page, newspaper page, photograph, etc. to sketch onto. Each artist will select a noun that they will write and sketch around using a medium of their choice. Featured Artist: Kristy Patterson

September 27th, 2022 - Anamorphic Sketching

Participants will create an anamorphic image coming out of the paper. Artists may need to cut parts of the paper to achieve this effect. Artists will use a medium of their choice. Featured Artist: Sandor Vamos

Supplies:

  • Pencil
  • Paper
  • Scissors and/or X-acto knife
  • Patterned Paper and/or Fabric
  • Repurposed Paper (Book page, Newspaper page, etc.)
  • Other mediums artists would like to explore
